Alabama State University National Alumni Association 2018 Membership Drive .

Greetings from the ASU/NAA President's Office

I am making a personal appeal to  Alabama State University Alumni to join the National Alumni Association during this campaign for membership.

Shea Stadium 1968
The Alabama State University National Alumni Association has elected a new President, who is a former Marching Hornet, Mr. Erick Wright from Birmingham, Alabama and now resides in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Wright is a former student of Mr. Edward Crenshaw, Director of Bands at Ramsey Senior High School. Mr. Wright was a Drum Major as a Marching Hornet, like his Director, Mr. Crenshaw.

There are three ways in which one can become member of National Alumni Association;
1. Virtual Chapter Membership ( $53.00 ) - Virtual Chapter Membership $50 (includes 6% service charge).  If you were a student at Alabama State University at some point and did not complete your degree, you may consider joining as a Virtual Chapter Member.

2. Chapter Membership (www.alasu.edu) - Annual Membership Dues for each chapter is stipulated at Alabama State University website.

3. The ASUNAA Life Membership is available to alumni members who contribute $1,000. Fully paid members will receive a life membership pin and plaque when the full payment is rendered. Another option is to make three yearly installments: $333.33, $333.33, $333.34. Life membership excludes the member from paying national dues for life. Local dues must continue to be paid.

A “National Call to Action”

2018 Early Membership Drive
Membership Committee Chairman
and President Elect, Mr. Erick Wright

The Alabama State University National Alumni Association, Inc. (ASUNAA) is launching a “2018 Early Membership Drive”. The first 200 new alumni who sign up will receive an NAA gift.

“Membership growth is essential within the ASUNAA and a strong alumni base that engages in alumni activities as a true stakeholder greatly enhances the relationship with Alabama State University,” says President, Erick Wright.   Now a ASUNAA 2018 Early Membership Drive-Recruit and Re-claim  members has begun.
This early membership drive is focusing on the foundational member base local chapters. However, the focus is also geared towards the virtual member concept (none-chapter affiliation):
  • To keep pace with the electronic-age and computer savvy alumni by providing options for alumni to be active with the NAA.
  • Data indicates that alumni want to be active members, but have little time to attend traditional chapter meetings.

“The ASUNAA hopes through active engagement alumni can support and network with alumni across Hornet Nation.”
To become a member, visit the ASU website at www.alasu.edu; click Alumni; click Join the Alumni; click options for virtual or regular chapter member; complete the online membership form with payment and click the submit button.

Personal checks, money orders or cashier checks are acceptable and should be made out to ASUNAA and mailed to:
